Nina Gren is a senior lecturer in Social Anthropology at the Department of Sociology, Lund University, Sweden. Gren is interested in social transformation in contexts of political violence, collective memory, death, family, gender, and diasporic relations. Her current research focuses on the Israeli military occupation and its effects on family relations and everyday life and rituals in Palestine. She is also involved in research on Swedish humanitarian aid. Her fieldwork experiences are from the Palestinian territories and from Denmark and Sweden.
