Dr. Mateo Villamil-Valencia is a sociologist and anthropologist, co-founder of Studies in Resistance Malmö (SIRMA) and the Nordic Network of Global South Urbanisms at Malmö University. He is an adjunct professor of political theory at the School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs at IE University, and a researcher at Conciencia Afro. His work focuses on social theory, psychology of emotions, peace and conflict studies, collective action, and applied sociology.
