Mario Espliego (Guadalajara,1983). Sculptor and Professor of sculpture at the TAI University School and at the University of Salamanca (USAL). His artistic practice, linked to the program of monumental sculpture, is resolved through various media and procedures, including writing as a regular component. He holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, where he analyzed in his thesis different issues related to violence produced from/to the monumental format. As a researcher, he has given lectures at MNCARS, La Casa Encendida, Matadero Madrid, and the Eugenio Almeida Foundation. His artistic work has been recently exhibited at Fundación Botín, BilbaoArte (Bilbao), Arnhem Museum (Netherlands), ARTIUM (Vitoria), MACBA (Barcelona), Temp ArtSpace (New York), Ca2m (Móstoles), MEIAC (Badajoz), Casa Velázquez (Madrid), Tabacalera (Madrid), among others. He is the editor of the magazine BARAHÚNDA.
