Erik Hannerz is a researcher and associate professor in Sociology at Lund University, and a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology, Yale University. He received his PhD at Uppsala University in 2014 on a dissertation on subcultural theory, with punk as the main case. The last decade he has spent researching graffiti. Hannerz is the co-founder of Urban Creativity Lund, and coordinator for the master of science programme in Cultural Criminology at Lund University.
