Yénika Castillo Muñoz is a multidisciplinary designer with a background in industrial and interaction design. She has taught several interaction design courses at the School of Arts and Communication at Malmö University. In her professional practice, she explores methods for participatory design that facilitate democracy and co-creation in projects that approach social and environmental sustainability. Her main interest is to understand the implications of design, craft, and creation to materialize diverse views and ways of being in the world from migrant, decolonial, and pluriversal perspectives. She is a co-founder of the Nordic Network of Global South Urbanisms (NEGSU) at Malmö University.
