Prof. Uttam Kumar Roy

Dr. Uttam Kumar Roy is a Professor in the Department of Architecture & Planning and also a joint faculty member at the Centre for Transportation Systems (CTRANS) at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He is currently leading the AMRUT Centre of Urban Planning for Capacity Building, established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, at IIT Roorkee. He has over twenty-five years of research and practical experience in affordable housing, urban planning, and public policy. Previously, he received the Outstanding Teachers Award from IIT Roorkee in 2020 and was awarded the Nuffic Fellowship in 2017.
