Marit Lindberg

  • Artist and Lecturer
  • Lund Unversity

Marit Lindberg’s artistic practice involves working with video and performance to create and explore social situations connected to specific places or historical and political events. She often begins with personal memories or acts of forgetting, with the voices of participants serving as commentary on political and social issues. Lindberg’s collective approach to creation follows its own internal logic, emphasizing the intense presence of participants in the moment.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous venues, including the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, MAC USP in São Paulo, and Malmö Konsthall. Her works are also included in the collections of Moderna Museet in Stockholm and Malmö Art Museum. Lindberg is currently a part-time senior lecturer at Lund University, in the Department of Architecture and the Built Environment.
