Henrika Kangas
Henrika Kangas is a research assistant at Malmö University whose work focuses on housing policy, housing allocation mechanisms, digitalization, and urban planning. Her research centers on questions of housing access – how it is structured, who is granted it, and how allocation systems function within different welfare state contexts. She holds a master’s degree in Urban Studies from Malmö University and a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Stockholm University. It was while living in Stockholm that she became acutely aware of the significant structural barriers to entering the rental market, and this continues to shape her commitment to advancing equitable access to housing.
