Filip Alexandrescu is a senior researcher at the Research Institute for Quality of Life, Romanian Academy. He is the PI of the Nomesis project and co-editor (with Ryan Powell and Ana Vilenica) of an upcoming volume entitled Marginality and Urban Transformation in Central and Eastern Europe (Routledge). His work explores different facets of urban marginality, from historical, relational and de-centered perspectives. He is also interested in the formation of environmental and climate injustice in urban and peripheral contexts. He has published two books and several articles in Urban Studies, Eurasian Geography and Economics and Globalizations, among others.
