Anton Ösgård is a PhD student in urban sociology at the Institute for Housing and Urban Research (IBF) at Uppsala University. His dissertation is concerned with urban social movements that organise for large scale housing production. The research is both historical – looking at the workers and tenant’s cooperative movements – and contemporary – researching efforts to finance and construct non-profit rentals in Sweden today.
